The India AI Impact Summit 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam,
New Delhi, was a landmark global event, from February 16-21, features over 500
startups, 300+ exhibitors from 30+ countries, and 100+ leading CEOs/CXOs. Major
industry partners including Reliance, Adani, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, OpenAI,
and Tata Group participated to showcase AI solutions and announce investments. Six
days of discussions, exhibitions, and collaborations with global tech leaders,
policymakers, startups, and researchers highlight India’s emergence as a Global
South leader in AI governance and innovation.
The Summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who emphasized the importance of building human‑centric and inclusive artificial intelligence. The event saw global participation, with leaders like Sundar Pichai, Sam Altman, and Mukesh Ambani joining representatives from 88 countries to sign the Responsible AI Declaration. The summit’s theme, Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya -meaning “AI for the welfare and happiness of all” reflected its focus on using technology for collective good, Summit's Logo Ashoka Chakra Features Symbolising Ethical Governance, justice, Constitutional Values and India's Leadership in Responsible AI Innovation. Alongside discussions, the expo showcased cutting‑edge AI applications across healthcare, education, governance, and sustainability, highlighting how innovation can drive positive impact worldwide.
India became the first nation from the Global South
to host a major global AI summit, marking a historic moment in technology
leadership. The country was positioned not only as a fast‑growing market for
AI solutions but also as a key partner in shaping the future of
artificial intelligence worldwide. Through the India AI Mission,
India showcased multilingual and inclusive AI tools designed to promote digital
equity, ensuring that people from diverse backgrounds and languages can
benefit from technology. The summit also highlighted India’s commitment to responsible
AI governance, with its focus on human‑centric innovation and
collaboration. By bringing together leaders from across the globe, India
demonstrated its role as a bridge between advanced economies and emerging
nations, showing how AI can be harnessed for healthcare, education,
sustainability, and inclusive growth.
At the summit, India unveiled MANAV Vision (Moral and Ethical systems, Accountable governance, National sovereignty, Accessibility, and Validity), a national blueprint for building ethical and responsible AI. Global firms pledged $15 billion in investments to strengthen AI infrastructure in India, signaling confidence in the country’s growing role in technology. Another major highlight was the announcement of AI collaborations across 88 countries, aimed at creating frameworks for responsible governance and ensuring that artificial intelligence benefits people everywhere.
The India AI Summit 2026 was more than just a gathering of
global leaders, it was a turning point in how nations envision and shape the
future of artificial intelligence. With the launch of MANAV Vision,
massive investment commitments, and collaborations across 88 countries, India
positioned itself as both a trailblazer and bridge in the global AI
ecosystem. Guided by the theme Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya -AI
for the welfare and happiness of all-the summit highlighted India’s commitment
